About The Position

Nucor Tubular Products (NTP) is seeking a strong leader and self-motivated Process Engineer to perform a variety of engineering and maintenance duties in an industrial setting. The role coordinates with other departments to align project activities with business goals and the company’s mission. As an integral member of the operations team, the Process Engineer leads efforts to continually improve safety, quality, cost, reliability, productivity, profitability, and team member development. The position requires some overtime and travel. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor, and the successful candidate must initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Strong leadership and self-motivation.

Nice To Haves

Galvanizing experience.
2–5 years of professional experience.
Computer skills with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with other departments to ensure projects align with business goals and the company’s mission.
Meet with internal clients to establish project goals and expectations and clarify project requirements.
Communicate project tasks, scopes, and durations to teammates involved.
Track project performance to support successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
Meet budgetary objectives.
Develop comprehensive project plans to share with team members and managers.
Use and continually develop leadership skills.
Lead efforts to improve safety, quality, cost, reliability, productivity, profitability, and team member development.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
