About The Position
Applied Materials is seeking a Spring 2027 Process Engineer Co-op to join its process team in Billerica, Massachusetts. The team uses Applied Materials’ technologies to address customer problems during research and fabrication. The co-op will gain exposure to semiconductor fabrication and variable processes, while developing skills in design of experiments, systematic data analysis, and problem solving. The role is on-site from January 11, 2027 through July 2, 2027.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's or master's program in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Be in good academic standing at the student's university.
- Have a passionate drive, a curious mind, and an adaptable spirit.
- Be a quick learner.
Nice To Haves
- A GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior process engineers and internal customers to deliver solutions for varied projects.
- Lead small development projects, including project management, design of experiments, wafer processing, data collection and analysis, documentation, and presentation of data.
- Set up processes, build recipes, and operate the advanced fab operation system.
- Support process engineers with procurement, shipping, and inventory functions.
