About The Position

Garmin is seeking a full-time Process Engineer 2 for its Mechanical Assembly Team at the U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role uses expert CAD skills to model complex tools and develop complex process instructions under management or mentor supervision. It may lead small projects or subprojects for units in development or mature product groups. The Mechanical Assembly Team handles unit-level assembly and packaging of Garmin products, primarily in manual work-cell environments. The Process Engineer designs work areas to produce high-quality products efficiently and economically while meeting customer expectations. The role also supports mechanical design, manufacturing processes, operator training, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, quality analysis, and collaboration with product design engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders. The position requires wearing Garmin-provided static-dissipative footwear throughout the shift in cleanliness-zone areas to minimize electrostatic discharge and meet specified standards.
