About The Position
The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient support functions under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. The role contributes to the efficiency of perioperative areas through self-directed support activities, including maintaining operating room equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and helping maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and effective patient care environment. The tech is an integral member of the operating room team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHS upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain operating room equipment.
- Position patients and prepare them for procedures.
- Assist with case cart preparation as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly procedural environment.
- Transport patients as required.
- Contribute to a safe, professional, respectful, and effective patient care environment.
