About The Position

Function as a team member in the operating room, supporting medical and nursing staff during the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. Duties include room turnover, cleaning and stocking supplies and equipment, and transporting patients. This is a part-time position at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, scheduled for 24 hours per week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients promptly and safely, with the proper documentation.
• Assist with operating room turnover, including gathering necessary equipment and handling soiled trash, linen, and biohazardous waste.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
• Obtain blood and blood products, supplies, equipment, and instruments as needed during procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
