Probate & Estate Administration Attorney

Morgan & Morgan, P.A.Florida, FL
Onsite

About The Position

Morgan & Morgan, the nation's largest injury firm, is launching a dedicated Probate & Estate Administration practice to serve the families of their deceased clients. This role is for an experienced Florida probate attorney who will help lay the foundation for what is intended to become a full team. The practice area offers a rare opportunity for growth, with substantial case volume expected due to thousands of existing matters requiring estate administration. The firm provides infrastructure, resources, and case volume, with dedicated paralegals handling administrative tasks, allowing the attorney to focus on legal strategy and filings. The firm handles the heavy lifting, providing death certificates, next-of-kin affidavits, family tree documentation, heir contact information, and intake details.

Requirements

  • Florida Bar member with substantial experience in probate and estate administration (intestate matters strongly preferred).
  • Deep command of Florida Probate Code — knowledge of statutes, timelines, courts, and judges.
  • Process-oriented and highly organized — ability to manage a high-volume docket without errors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — willingness to help shape a new practice area.
  • Strong communicator with grieving families and internal stakeholders.
  • Experienced in contested probate matters — including will contests, heirship disputes, or creditor claims.
  • Sole practitioners and small-firm attorneys are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Open and administer intestate estates in Florida probate court on behalf of heirs entitled to our clients' settlement proceeds.
  • Prepare and file all necessary probate documents — petitions for administration, letters of administration, inventories, notices to creditors, and final accountings.
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for families, walking next-of-kin through the process with clarity and compassion.
  • Coordinate with the internal team, focusing on legal strategy and filings while paralegals handle administrative legwork.
  • Manage a volume caseload with precision, tracking each matter from initiation through estate funding and case closure.
  • Handle a mix of uncontested and contested matters, with contingency counsel available for complex disputes when capacity requires.
  • Help establish firm-wide probate processes that can scale as the practice grows.

Benefits

  • Medical and dental insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
