About The Position

The School of Accounting at the Lundquist College of Business maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling pro tempore positions as needs arise. These are limited-duration appointments, potentially renewable for up to three years. Pro tempore faculty work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and/or the requisite department head. This pool may also be used to fill non-tenure track career appointments as openings arise. The department is seeking talented faculty passionate about teaching and learning to teach accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses are scheduled to be conducted on campus and in the classroom. Candidates should be strongly committed to quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, service to students, contributing positively to our diverse community, and working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that will enhance community relations and support undergraduate/graduate student training.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD or other doctorate and demonstrated teaching experience.
