About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Pro Shop Attendant I provides friendly, high-quality customer service to the golfing public, performs assigned golf operational activities, and completes other duties as required. The role supports golf course operations by assisting with reservations and golfer play assignments, collecting fees, processing payments, and enforcing rules governing the golf course, golf carts, and other facilities. The attendant may also represent the course in professional golf activities as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of golf and its rules and regulations, golf facilities and equipment, golf course promotion and marketing, and basic computer operations.
• Computer skills, including experience using a point-of-sale system.
• Previous cash-handling experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliability, dependability, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and lift or carry 25 pounds or less.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods, use a telephone, and write or use a keyboard.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish excellent customer relations and provide high-quality customer service to the golfing public.
• Take reservations and assign the play of golfers.
• Collect fees, operate the cash register or POS system, and process payments.
• Enforce rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts, and other golf facilities.
• Represent the course in professional golf activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
