About The Position

ALLY Psychiatry is seeking a PRN Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care and hospital consultations at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This flexible PRN opportunity is ideal for a psychiatrist looking for additional clinical work, supplemental income, or a flexible schedule while providing coverage for weekends, holidays, and provider vacation time. The psychiatrist will work as part of a collaborative behavioral health team alongside mid-level psychiatric providers, providing inpatient psychiatric care and consultation services.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
• Active and unrestricted medical license applicable to South Carolina
• Comfortable providing hospital psychiatric consultations
• Strong clinical assessment and medication-management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to provide PRN weekend, holiday, and vacation coverage

Nice To Haves

• Previous inpatient psychiatry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment
• Perform psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide medication management
• Respond to and complete psychiatric hospital consultations
• Evaluate patients referred for behavioral health and psychiatric concerns
• Provide coverage during weekends, holidays, and psychiatrist vacations
• Collaborate with a team of mid-level psychiatric providers
• Communicate with hospital staff and other members of the treatment team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care
