PRN Pharmacist - Community Pharmacy - $70+/hr
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a PRN Pharmacist for ongoing coverage opportunities with community pharmacies in the Coeur d'Alene area. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible supplemental work while maintaining a consistent relationship with local pharmacy teams. Coverage needs may arise due to vacations, staffing changes, meetings, and other operational needs throughout the year. Training is available, and opportunities may range from single-day coverage to recurring PRN schedules. Providing patient-oriented retail pharmacy services to patients, prescription counting, processing and filling, managing inventory and performing tasks assigned by the pharmacist.
Requirements
- Active Idaho Pharmacist License in good standing
- Retail or community pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- ID Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Knowledge and experience of pharmacy practice
- Interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Provide patient counseling and medication education
- Support daily pharmacy operations and workflow
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to deliver quality patient care
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Prescription counting, processing and filling
- Managing inventory and performing tasks assigned by the pharmacist
