About The Position

This position performs waived and moderate high complexity testing according to CLIA ‘88 guidelines, interprets and reports results for established tests in Microbiology. The role involves performing quality control, quality assurance, and maintenance. The individual works independently but under the supervision of the department coordinator or a certified technologist/technician. Duties include clerical tasks, specimen collection, accessioning and processing of specimens. The role also involves answering phones, relaying patient results, and monitoring expected/outstanding logs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent for areas of moderate-complexity testing.
• BLS certification.
