About The Position

Griswold Home Care for Oklahoma City North is building a dependable PRN caregiver team to support client call-outs, new client starts, schedule gaps, short-term needs, weekends, evenings, and other as-needed assignments. This role is ideal for experienced caregivers who want flexibility while still being part of a professional home-care team. PRN caregivers work on an as-needed basis. Hours are not guaranteed, and available assignments may vary from week to week. Once you accept an assignment, you are expected to report on time, remain for the full scheduled shift, follow the client's care plan, and communicate promptly with the Griswold office.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous professional caregiving, home-care, assisted-living, CNA, personal-care, or similar experience is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant family caregiving experience may also be considered when paired with strong judgment, reliability, and successful completion of required training.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone/text with the Griswold office.
  • Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable background checks, registry screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of assigned caregiving duties, with reasonable accommodation where required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and meaningful interaction.
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility, and other activities of daily living as assigned.
  • Prepare meals, assist with groceries, complete laundry, change linens, wash dishes, and perform light housekeeping consistent with the care plan.
  • Provide attentive supervision and redirection for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory loss, or cognitive impairment when assigned.
  • Observe and promptly report changes in a client's condition, behavior, safety, or environment.
  • Complete accurate and timely shift documentation.
  • Follow client-specific care instructions and contact the Griswold office when a request or situation is unclear.
