About The Position
One You Love Homecare of North, South, and West Houston is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Caregivers provide essential non-medical assistance while supporting clients’ independence and dignity. The work includes companionship, personal care support, help with daily living activities, and light housekeeping. Schedules vary according to client needs, with flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field is a plus.
- State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, with proof of insurance if required for client transport.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
- Observe infection control practices and follow care plan protocols.
- Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Remind clients to take medication.
- Clock in and out and document all tasks.
