About The Position

At IntegraCare, Caregivers help provide compassionate support to residents in a respectful, positive work environment. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulating, while protecting their dignity and using techniques learned in Life Stories Training to reduce stress and encourage cooperation. Caregivers help maintain consistent staff follow-through, including activity programming, when the Life Stories Director or Life Stages Coordinator is absent. They also support other Resident Wellness Associates, complete documentation in resident records and Move N, and contribute to teamwork and task completion.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or active registry on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to provide quality assistance to residents in a professional and caring manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to frequently lift residents, bend, stretch, stand, and walk for extensive periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the care of elderly people.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulating.
• Provide assistance in a friendly and courteous manner while ensuring residents' dignity and respect.
• Use techniques learned in Life Stories Training to minimize resident stress and maximize cooperation through dignity and empathy.
• Ensure consistent staff follow-through, including activity programming, in the absence of the Life Stories Director or Life Stages Coordinator.
• Provide assistance and support to other Resident Wellness Associates to ensure task completion and teamwork.
• Complete documentation clearly and accurately in resident records and Move N.
