About The Position

Baird’s Private Wealth Management internship offers meaningful, real-world work experience. Interns are treated as valuable team members and contribute directly to the team’s success while applying classroom knowledge, building professional relationships, and gaining first-hand insight into the work of Financial Advisors and their teams.

This is a full-time summer internship in Baird’s Fairfax, Virginia office, working 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The selected student should be able to start in June 2027. The program also offers hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, professional development, and events such as an Intern Welcome and Baird Gives Back Day.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; preferred.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Interest in financial services and developing a career in private wealth management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and associates.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate attention to detail, and deliver high-quality work on time.
• High motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively.
• Able to work full time during the summer, 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in the Fairfax office, and start in June 2027.
• Not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Advisor projects, including reviewing reports and conducting research.
• Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
• Assist with financial planning and market research.
• Handle administrative tasks, calls, and basic client questions.
• Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.
• Process paperwork and documents.
• Provide other duties and project support as needed.
