About The Position

Baird is seeking a Private Wealth Management intern to gain meaningful, hands-on experience and contribute to the success of a team. The intern will apply classroom knowledge, develop professional experience, build relationships, and gain first-hand insight into the work of Financial Advisors and their teams.

This is a full-time summer internship in Baird’s Wausau, Wisconsin office, working 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate can start in June 2027. The internship includes hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, professional development, and firm events. Baird is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Interest in financial services and developing a career in private wealth management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and associates.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, attend to detail, and deliver high-quality work on time.
• Motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively.
• Able to work full time during the summer, 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in the Wausau, Wisconsin office.
• Able to start in June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support projects for Financial Advisors, including reviewing reports and conducting research.
• Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
• Assist with financial planning and market research.
• Handle administrative tasks, calls, and basic client questions.
• Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.
• Process paperwork and documents.
• Perform other duties and provide project support as needed.
