About The Position

Baird’s Private Wealth Management internship offers meaningful, hands-on work experience, with interns treated as valuable team members who can contribute directly to the success of the team. Interns apply classroom knowledge, build professional relationships, and gain first-hand exposure to the daily work of Financial Advisors and their teams.

The internship is based in Baird’s Baltimore, Maryland office and requires full-time work during the summer, 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The intern should be available to start in June 2027. The program also offers hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, professional development, and events including an Intern Welcome and Baird Gives Back Day.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree; finance, business, or a related degree is preferred.
• Have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Have an interest in financial services and developing a career in private wealth management.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and associates.
• Demonstrate organizational excellence, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, pay close attention to detail, and deliver high-quality work on time.
• Demonstrate motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Support projects for Financial Advisors, including reviewing reports and conducting research.
• Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
• Assist with financial planning and market research.
• Handle administrative tasks, calls, and basic client questions.
• Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.
• Process paperwork and documents.
• Perform other duties and provide project support as needed.
