About The Position

Baird’s Private Wealth Management interns gain meaningful, hands-on experience as contributing members of the team. They apply classroom knowledge, build professional experience and relationships, and learn about the work of Financial Advisors and their teams. The internship is full time during the summer, 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in the Fairfax, Virginia office. The anticipated start is June 2027. The program includes hands-on projects, mentorship, networking, professional development and events such as the Intern Welcome and Baird Gives Back Day. Baird does not currently hire for this position individuals who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status. Requirements

Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree; finance, business or a related field is preferred.
Have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
Demonstrate interest in financial services and developing a career in private wealth management.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and associates.
Demonstrate organizational excellence, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, attention to detail, and timely, high-quality delivery.
Show motivation, proactivity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively.

Nice To Haves

A degree in finance, business or a related field.
Prior experience in an office setting.

Responsibilities

Support Financial Advisor projects, including reviewing reports and conducting research.
Prepare for client meetings and presentations.
Assist with financial planning and market research.
Handle administrative tasks and calls, and respond to basic client questions.
Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.
Process paperwork and documents.
Provide other duties and project support as needed.
