About The Position

Musicologie is seeking an expert musician to teach trumpet and other brass instruments to students of all ages and abilities. Teachers help students identify their goals and progress through relevant curriculum, serving as friendly guides on their musical journeys. They also encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the instrument or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience on the instrument.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Excellent musicianship.
• Strong in-person and email communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Able to work evening hours.
• Enthusiasm for helping students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow Musicologie’s educational philosophy, curriculum, and processes.
• Deliver an outstanding lesson experience to every family and student.
• Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to improve everyone’s capabilities.
• Help students of all ages and abilities identify goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals.
• Encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
