About The Position

Musicologie Renton is hiring a piano teacher for its opening in December 2026. The teacher will work with students of all ages and abilities, help them identify their goals, and guide their progress through curriculum related to those goals. Teachers encourage community involvement through performances and group classes. The role emphasizes learning Musicologie’s educational philosophy, curriculum, and processes; delivering an outstanding lesson experience to every student and family; and collaborating with teachers and managers. Musicologie describes its approach as community-focused, with a safe, play-based learning environment, training and shadowing, opportunities for upward mobility, innovative programs and technology, and a collaborative community of musicians.

Requirements

• Excellent musician and expert on piano.
• Teaching experience on the instrument.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Strong in-person and email communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Willingness and ability to work evening hours.
• Bachelor’s degree in the instrument or equivalent experience.
• Interest in learning and helping students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
