About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for adult and/or pediatric care to join its Passaic County skilled nursing team. Nurses provide compassionate, high-quality, one-on-one care to clients in their homes, with schedules selected based on their availability. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric patients and may have varying diagnoses and acuity levels. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and observe their milestones.

Nurses travel to one client's home per shift, follow and carry out doctors' orders, perform assessments, monitor client conditions, and document observations, interventions, and evaluations. BAYADA provides paid training beginning on day one, including in-office, in-home, and online instruction; adult and pediatric simulation labs; around-the-clock phone-based clinical support; and electronic charting using Statewise. The role offers flexible scheduling with no minimum hours and may be full-time, part-time, or per diem. Compensation is $36–$40 per hour. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 and a nurse referral bonus of $1,200 are advertised; bonus and benefit eligibility may depend on employment type.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
• Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
• Have at least 5 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to one client's home near the nurse on a chosen schedule.
• Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform assessments and monitor clients' conditions.
• Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
• Provide one-on-one adult and/or pediatric care in clients' homes.
