Private Duty Nurse (PRN Role)
About The Position
Navi Nurses seeks a Private Duty Nurse to provide one-on-one, high-quality, concierge-style private nursing care and support to adult patients in their homes or hotels in Tucson, Arizona, and surrounding cities. The client populations include people recovering from surgery or hospitalization, people aging at home, and hospice clients. Care includes hands-on registered nursing, advocacy, education, and care coordination. Nurses practice according to the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and the Massachusetts Nurse of the Future. This is a PRN contractor position: nurses work on a W-9 basis, taxes are not withheld, benefits are not provided, and shifts are not guaranteed. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours based on client needs and are autonomously selected. Weekday, overnight/NOC, weekend, holiday, and day shifts are available; major holidays receive holiday pay. Nurses must complete patient charting using their own smartphone or tablet. Requirements
- Arizona RN license in good standing and unencumbered.
- At least 3 years of direct patient care experience.
- Must have worked inpatient bedside within the past 12 months; preference is given to RNs currently working inpatient.
- Current AHA BLS and/or ACLS.
- ASN or higher and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Ability to practice independently under one's nursing license while staying within scope.
- Ability to complete patient charting on a self-supplied smartphone or tablet.
- Tech competence, including ability to use apps and platforms for major functions of the role.

- Currently working inpatient, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, high-quality, concierge-style private nursing care and support to adult clients in their homes or hotels.
- Provide hands-on direct registered nursing care.

- Complete patient charting using a self-supplied smartphone or tablet.
- Build positive, professional relationships with peers and client healthcare teams.
- Use apps and platforms for major functions of the role.
- Assess and treat the whole person and their support system, and use the provided support and chain of command for comprehensive client care.
- Speak up, advocate for clients, and support clients and their support systems in taking ownership of their health and healthcare experience.
