About The Position
Masonicare at Home, Masonicare’s non-medical homecare agency, is hiring private caregivers and homemakers for live-in or hourly live-out work throughout Connecticut. Positions are available in Masonicare facilities and with community-based clients. Hourly services require a three-hour minimum, with shifts ranging from three to 12 hours. The role focuses on helping clients stay safe, entertained, and active at home. Training is available for applicants willing to learn and who have reliable transportation. CNA certification is not required; Masonicare offers to pay for CNA certification.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn and participate in training.
- Availability to work 12-hour shifts at least two days per week.
- Availability for daytime and/or weekend day shifts is sought.

- CNA certification; it is not required, and Masonicare offers to pay for certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide conversation and general companionship.
- Perform light housekeeping and change bed and bath linens.
- Do laundry and prepare meals.
- Run errands and provide medication reminders.
- Assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, and mail.
- Provide recreational activities such as reading, games, crafts, and indoor or outdoor walks.
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments, including medical and personal-care appointments.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair and skin care, and feeding.
- Provide toileting and incontinence care.
- Assist with exercises, ambulation, and transfers.
