CNA Private Duty Caregiver
About The Position
Masonicare at Home is hiring private caregivers and homemakers for non-medical personal and companion care throughout Connecticut. Work may be live-in or hourly live-out, with hourly services requiring a three-hour minimum. Clients include residents in Masonicare facilities and community-based clients. Caregivers help clients stay safe, engaged, and active at home. Masonicare will train applicants who have reliable transportation and are willing to learn. CNA certification is not required; Masonicare offers to pay for CNA certification. This is per-diem work, with day and overnight shifts available. The posting seeks staff available for 12-hour shifts at least twice per week, including day and weekend-day availability.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide conversation and general companionship.
- Perform light housekeeping, change bed and bath linens, and do laundry.
- Prepare meals and run errands.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, and mail.
- Provide recreation, such as reading, games, crafts, and indoor or outdoor walks.
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments, including medical and personal-care appointments.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair and skin care, and feeding.
- Provide toileting and incontinence care.
- Assist with exercises, ambulation, and transfers.
