About The Position

Join the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) as a Print Production and Design Supervisor and lead a fast-moving print operation that delivers important materials every day. This role gives you the chance to guide a skilled team and produce high quality work that supports service members and veterans. Your leadership will help keep projects on time and on budget. Requirements

  • One year as a Print Production Technician; or One year as a Mail Production Team Leader; or Two years of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • At least one year of experience as a Graphic Designer.
  • Experience in design and/or working with the Adobe suite.
  • Must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • Experience in digital press production printing
  • Experience with supervisory oversight of employees
  • Experience with purchasing regulations and requirements
  • Experience in mail and/or packaging requirements and regulations
  • Ability to lift at least 60 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Direct print shop operations, review work requests, and ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
  • Create layouts, select formats, and prepare final designs for a wide range of printed materials
  • Operate and maintain digital press and bindery equipment and complete basic repairs when needed
  • Guide staff, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide training on equipment and safety practices
  • Meet with customers, clarify project needs, and provide updates on work progress and results
  • Maintain job records, track costs, and ensure billing is accurate and completed on time

Benefits

  • Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week)
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
