About The Position
The Print Press Operator prepares and prints designs onto paper before they undergo the heat press process. The heat press transfers the designs onto casino table fabric, often using heat and pressure to make the transfer permanent. The role calls for a detail-oriented craftsperson who applies precision in printing designs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience operating a high-volume dye-sublimation printer.
- Ability to operate a heat press as needed.
- Attention to detail and precision in printing designs.
Responsibilities
- Follow the print schedule and print sales order paperwork to organize the files needed for production.
- Prepare printing machines for workflow, including loading paper and ink.
- Organize and review files before sending them to the printing machines.
- Complete the Manufacture Form for each job.
- Tag and organize each job according to the order, then release it to press production for completion.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and order or request additional supplies as needed.
- Monitor printer operations and respond to fault, error, or alert messages.
- Complete daily and weekly maintenance for printing machines.
- Report machine malfunctions or issues to management.
