About The Position

The Print and Mail Services Clerk is responsible for managing print jobs from customer interaction to final delivery. This role involves ensuring print readiness of files, establishing deadlines, and prioritizing workload to meet operational demands. The clerk will operate high-volume digital and wide format printers, perform equipment maintenance, and conduct quality control inspections. Additionally, the position handles mail processing, including receiving, sending, and operating postage meters and shipping software. Security screening of incoming mail using x-ray equipment is also a key responsibility. The role requires maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety protocols, and regular on-site attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills, working with decimals and fractions.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in mail center operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization and prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 70lbs.
  • Must be able to push/pull using a cart or hand truck up to 500lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 6.5 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or vocational training preferred.
  • Prior experience in print and bindery operations preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat preferred.
  • Familiar with Adobe Acrobat and/or Microsoft Office and Fiery Command WorkStation software.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming print jobs with customers to ensure files are print-ready, establish deadlines, and schedule jobs.
  • Handle multiple orders and prioritize workload based on operational equipment and deadlines.
  • Operate high-volume digital printers and wide format inkjet printers.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all print and mail equipment.
  • Perform quality control inspections of all printed output.
  • Maintain print requisition records in SharePoint database.
  • Perform bindery/finishing processes such as cutting, folding, scoring, laminating, padding, and spiral binding.
  • Receive, process, and deliver incoming mail and packages.
  • Operate postage meters for USPS mailing and use shipping software for outgoing items.
  • Operate x-ray equipment on all incoming mail and packages for security threats.
  • Keep daily records for all incoming and outgoing items.
  • Work safely, use proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and inspect areas for safety hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Pay Rate : PL 1 $43,300 – $48,100
