About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support Modeling, Simulations, and Analysis (MS&A). This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. The selected candidate will join a team of diverse Modeling, Simulations, and Analysis (MS&A) engineers in the model Verification and Validation (V&V) and model governance team. This role will involve developing MBSE content, defining and updating documentation standards, reviewing V&V artifacts from external IPTs, and mentoring engineers. The role will require regular coordination between teams and expertise in supporting artifacts from creation to DoD acceptance. Candidate must have an in depth understanding of MBSE and the ability to coach and mentor others in the processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 1 years with PhD.
  • US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in MS&A areas to include V&V
  • Experience developing V&V artifacts
  • Experience developing MBSE content
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools (Cameo, DOORs, CPLM, PLM, or similar)

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Experience with complex requirement development and traceability
  • Experience managing requirements in DOORS
  • Experience executing and boarding Risks, Issues & Opportunities
  • Experience guiding technical documents through review processes in a DoD environment
