Northrop Grumman Defense has an opening for a Systems Engineer (level 2)/Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to join its Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team in Roy, UT in support of the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. What You'll Get To Do: As an integral part of the Command Systems SEIT MS&A Operations team on the Sentinel program, you will focus on: Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system such as networking, physical security, and cybersecurity Perform command-and-control system analysis with a focus on end-to-end latency, including allocating latency budgets across components and networks, and validating that timing requirements are met under nominal and stressed operating conditions. Perform networking analysis, including characterizing link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss between system nodes, and using these results to identify bottlenecks, validate design assumptions, and recommend network architecture or configuration improvements Develop and manage hardware/software computing resource budgets, including analyzing and optimizing CPU, RAM, storage, and related utilization to ensure system performance and scalability Support database management and development activities Support analysis for requirement decomposition and traceability Support MBSE strategy and implementation Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance Contribute content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders
