Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Sr Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Requirements

Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering principles (for Principal)
4+ years of experience with Systems Engineering principles (for Sr. Principal)
3+ years of experience with Requirements Development (for Principal)
4+ years of experience with Requirements Development (for Sr. Principal)
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
1+ years of experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) principles

A general understanding of Engineering Board Processes
Experience leading projects or assignments
Experience using Cameo or similar engineering modeling tools
Experience using DOORS or similar requirements management tools
Experience using Agile workflow tools, such as JIRA and Confluence

Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, develop and decompose system requirements, verify requirements, and support technical reviews of engineering documentation.
Facilitate stakeholder and peer reviews of the technical content for the Launch Support System (LSS).
Develop and release requirements in DOORS, create MBSE models in Cameo, and coordinate with design, test, and other teams.
Demonstrate technical skills, strong organizational abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Exhibit a commitment to ethics and integrity, as well as a capacity for innovation.
Operate effectively in a team environment and collaborate across the program to accomplish assigned tasks.
