About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Systems Engineer for the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program. As an integral part of the Command Systems SEIT MS&A Execution team on the Sentinel program, you will focus on Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system such as radio frequency communications, launch execution chain, status timing, and cryptography. You will also support analysis for requirement decomposition and traceability, support MBSE strategy and implementation, and coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance. Additionally, you will contribute content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders, perform analysis to support derivation of lower level requirements, and create analysis documents, verification and validation (V&V) plans, and V&V reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
  • Principal Systems Engineer: 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD
  • Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • 3 years of Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience
  • 1 year experience with radio frequency analysis
  • Experience utilizing MS&A tools to inform design solutions, derive or verify requirements
  • Familiarity with requirements management and the verification and validation process
  • Demonstrated experience with mathematical modeling and simulation
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or related scientific computer programming tools
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
