Principal Product Manager- Activation

Evolve
•$190,000 - $210,000•Remote

About The Position

Evolve is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own the homeowner activation journey from signed agreement to a live, bookable vacation-rental listing. The role focuses on increasing the number of owners who go live, reducing time to launch, and improving retention six months after activation. Key areas include property setup, photo scheduling, permits and compliance, pricing, and onboarding for owners with multiple properties. The position extends Growth’s product work beyond signup and partners closely with the Onboarding team, which currently manages the activation process. The Product Manager will develop the roadmap, identify where owners stall, and deliver changes that replace manual onboarding steps with more self-service and automation. Success is measured through activation rate, time to live, and 180-day retained activations. This role works closely with Onboarding, Operations, Lifecycle Marketing, analytics, engineering, and the Funnel Conversion Product Manager. It includes direct conversations with individual and portfolio owners and end-to-end ownership of experiments, instrumentation, and product delivery. Evolve can hire in the U.S. except in Washington, D.C. and Hawaii, subject to the location and state-specific restrictions described in the posting.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of onboarding, activation, or time-to-value.
  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace or operations-heavy business, ideally on the supply or seller side.
  • Demonstrated success moving activation, conversion, or early-retention metrics through experimentation.
  • Experience partnering with operations or field teams to automate manual processes.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, including building funnels and cohorts.
  • Able to work at the specification level with engineers and take products from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • An AI-native working style, using tools such as Claude or Cursor in daily work for specifications, research synthesis, and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with compliance-heavy or regulated onboarding, such as permits, licensing, or credentialing.
  • Experience in vacation rental, real estate, hospitality, or property management.
  • Experience serving multi-property or business customers alongside individual customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap from signed agreement to a live, bookable listing, using activation rate, time to live, and 180-day retained activations as success measures.
  • Identify where owners stall in property setup, photo scheduling, permits, rates, and multi-property onboarding, and prioritize improvements.
  • Ship product changes that remove manual onboarding steps, including self-service setup, automated scheduling, and reminders.
  • Run experiments end to end by defining hypotheses, scoping builds, measuring results, and deciding what to do next.
  • Own activation instrumentation with analytics so every step from signup to live can be measured by cohort.
  • Partner with Onboarding and Operations to change the underlying process rather than adding manual work.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing on the onboarding journey and with the Funnel Conversion Product Manager on the signup handoff.
  • Speak with single-property and portfolio owners and translate what is learned into product decisions.

Benefits

  • Industry-competitive pay, company equity, and a 401(k) with a 4% immediately vested match.
  • 16–18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 10 weeks for non-birthing parents, plus infertility coverage.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, including 100% employer-paid dental and vision for individual coverage and a low-cost medical option.
  • 10 free mental health visits and pet insurance.
  • Generous PTO, RTO for full-time exempt employees, sick leave, holidays, and a personal holiday.
  • Annual Evolve travel credit after one year and discounts on stays at Evolve properties.
  • Onboarding programs and learning and development resources.
  • Employee Resource Groups.
