About The Position

Gen is seeking a hands-on product design leader to support the MoneyLion brand and shape its digital product experience. The role combines individual design contribution with day-to-day leadership, designing MoneyLion app features with an increasing focus on the web experience, while guiding designers across global offices. The designer will oversee and contribute to the execution of existing products and features, working closely with product and engineering to align on scope, delivery, and quality. This role suits a senior product designer with strong craft, deep Figma expertise, and a record of shipping thoughtful work. The person should move comfortably between individual-contributor and leadership responsibilities, use AI tools such as Claude in daily practice, and be interested in exploring internal tools and introducing skills that improve the team’s work.

Requirements

Senior-level product design experience, strong craft, and a track record of shipping.
Experience leading or mentoring designers, ideally across time zones.
Deep Figma proficiency, including design systems, components, and tokens.
Fluency using AI tools such as Claude in daily practice, and curiosity about building internal tools and introducing new skills to the team.
Ability to balance individual-contributor work with team leadership and know when to switch modes.

Responsibilities

Design MoneyLion app features, with particular attention to the MoneyLion web experience.
Provide day-to-day oversight of designers across three regions through reviews, critique, and unblocking.
Coach junior designers to improve execution quality and consistency.
Drive MLDS 4.0 adoption across product teams and keep design and build aligned.
Ensure designers have the resources, clarity, and context needed to deliver.
Partner closely with product and engineering on delivery, scope, and quality.
