Pacific Northwest National Laboratory•UNAVAILABLE, UNAVAILABLE

About The Position

The Principal Business Information & Innovation Analyst coordinates the Business Services Directorate’s Business Information Stewardship model, including the Business Information Stewardship Team, business information standards, trusted information products, reporting priorities, KPI governance, and information product lifecycle practices. The role works across Accounting, Procurement, Planning, Projects, Travel, Property, and other BSD functions to establish consistent business definitions, improve information reuse, and strengthen operational and executive decision support. The position partners with Information Technology, the Analytics Community of Excellence, Enterprise Architecture, the PNNL Center for AI, CORE program teams, and other enterprise partners to translate enterprise capabilities into trusted business information and measurable business value. It provides BSD business leadership, stewardship coordination, requirements definition, governance support, and analytical guidance while preserving enterprise technical ownership; it does not develop or operate enterprise technology platforms. The role advises stakeholders on stewardship, reporting, analytics, and information-enabled decision support; coordinates governance and reporting practices; develops business requirements and evaluates reporting and analytics opportunities; supports BSD readiness for ERP-enabled reporting and analytics transformation; and assesses opportunities to improve business processes and workforce effectiveness. It also coordinates responsible adoption of enterprise AI and emerging capabilities, evaluates potential AI use cases, develops reusable prompts and guidance, and helps stakeholders understand relevant limitations, risks, and governance requirements. The analyst prepares executive briefings, analyses, recommendations, roadmaps, performance reports, and governance materials, and facilitates cross-functional partnerships and discussions.
