Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Digital design fundamentals including static timing analysis concepts like setup timing, hold timing, RC extraction, delay calculation, and OCV analysis
  • Utilize digital design fundamentals to review semiconductor designs and evaluate design quality
  • IC digital implementation flows, including synthesis, place and route
  • Utilize Cadence tools such as Genus, Innovus, Cerebrus or Tempus to design semiconductor chips
  • Analyze and debug customer flows and EDA tools
  • Analyze and present EDA tool benchmark results to customers
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
  • Deploy Cadence’s market-leading technologies in Synthesis, place and route (P&R), and Signoff to meet and exceed their power, performance, and area (PPA) targets, achieve faster design closure, and turn their design concepts into reality.
  • Guide customers on how to best utilize Cadence technologies to achieve their design goals at advanced nodes and meet project schedules.
  • Conduct technical presentations and drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to success.
  • Amend and augment the flow as needed using Tcl and/or other programming skills to meet objectives and improve results and flows.
  • Work closely with R&D on tools and methodology improvements.
  • Create and contribute technical content for Cadence Online Support (COS).
