Primary Care Physician – Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
About The Position
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG), a physician-led group of more than 1,800 physicians serving Kaiser Permanente patients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., is hiring a full-time specialist in Adult Medicine at its Springfield Medical Center. The role is listed as 0.8 FTE, equivalent to 32 hours per week, with salary reflecting that schedule. The physician will provide primary care to a patient panel of approximately 2,000 patients per 10 clinical sessions, with panel size adjusted for age, gender, and medical acuity. The schedule includes 7 to 10 clinical sessions per week, each approximately 4 to 4½ working hours. Care is provided in clinic and by video or phone, with visit notes and post-visit summaries documented in EPIC EMR. MAPMG physicians focus on long-term health, prevention, and effective diagnosis and treatment. The organization supports coordinated care through a comprehensive electronic health record, and supports quality care, education, research, and the advancement of best practices. Physicians are expected to provide patient-centered, culturally competent care and demonstrate thoughtful communication, integrity, teamwork, transparency, honesty, and dedication to their patients.
Requirements
- MD or DO.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Currently licensed, or able to obtain licenses, in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to a panel of approximately 2,000 patients per 10 clinical sessions, adjusted for age, gender, and medical acuity.
