About The Position

Perform maintenance and inspections of construction and mining equipment, engines, and other assigned assets according to each manufacturer's recommended schedule. Dispose of waste oils, fluids, and filters in accordance with state and company regulations. The position requires completing preventive maintenance work and related documentation, ensuring work is completed proficiently and safely, and cleaning the work area after each job. Employees are expected to participate in company-offered service schools and training programs and may perform other duties as assigned.

The role is based in San Antonio, Texas. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with weekend hours as necessary and temporary schedule adjustments as work requires. Work may take place in inclement weather or hazardous environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in preventive maintenance or a similar role.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of the position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives.
• Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record under the company's insurance carrier requirements.
• Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by the Department of Transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and bend and twist several times a day.
• Ability to operate and test equipment effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on construction-type equipment.

• Dispose of waste oils, fluids, and filters in accordance with state and company regulations.
• Complete service reports, timecards, and other paperwork legibly and understandably.
• Ensure assigned jobs are completed proficiently and safely.
• Clean the work area after each job is finished.
• Take advantage of company-offered service schools and training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
