About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic maintains equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance program, diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems and performs emergency and proactive repairs of buildings and grounds, production equipment and machinery while minimizing down time.
Requirements
- Electrical knowledge
- Hydraulics knowledge
- Pneumatics knowledge
- Welding/Cutting knowledge
- Knowledge of LOTO and SDS
- Certified/Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
- Basic computer skills
- OSHA 10 hours certified
- Mechanic and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- PLC experience
Nice To Haves
- 2-5 years of experience or Technical Certifications with other mechanical experience
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance program.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Perform emergency and proactive repairs of buildings and grounds, production equipment and machinery while minimizing down time.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Perform inspection of completed maintenance and document results.
- Complete and maintain paperwork for maintenance performed.
- Assist in other work areas as needed and directed by the department supervisor.
- Operate Forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as necessary.
- Comply with all plant safety and environmental regulations and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Read and follow QWI and other work instructions necessary to properly assembly product.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, replace or repair parts to mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Train other employees.
