About The Position

The Goddard School of Marshallton in West Chester is seeking a motivated, caring Pretoddler/Toddler Teacher to help create engaging programs, manage the classroom, and provide a safe, stimulating environment. The teacher collaborates with colleagues to support children’s learning and development and contributes to a nurturing classroom. The role supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate lesson plans, supervision, individualized support, and routine child care. Teachers prepare classroom materials, maintain safety and cleanliness, follow health and safety guidelines, and help communicate with parents about children’s progress and activities. The position pays $18.00–$22.00 per hour. Each school location is independently owned and operated, and compensation and benefits vary by location.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
Empathy and compassion for young children.
Ability to work productively without supervision.
Basic understanding of child development.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
