About The Position

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) maximizes sales in the prestige category, including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance, by engaging guests, identifying their needs, and helping them select and purchase prestige merchandise while following company policies and procedures. The PBA maintains store standards, including cleanliness and replenishment, and supports the Sales Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process. The role calls for a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

The PBA helps achieve store sales, loyalty, shrink, and omni-channel goals, with emphasis on prestige products and iconic brands. The position delivers personalized guest service, performs makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations, and supports appointments and in-store events. It also includes keeping work areas stocked and maintained, completing operational and merchandising tasks, protecting company assets, and complying with Ulta Beauty’s policies and standards.

The role requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attendance at corporate business meetings and conferences, including overnight stays, may be required. The work involves frequent movement and standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting, as well as continuous handling and movement of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. The hourly pay range is $16.82–$24.75. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off and health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, with a focus on prestige products and iconic brands.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing recommendations, recommending complementary products or services, and sharing information about promotions, events, and services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations for guests.
• Book appointments and support services and in-store events that deliver a strong guest experience and support sales goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and learn about their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
• Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training and brand and category education.
• Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Keep prestige and iconic brand areas replenished, signed, and faced; maintain testers in accordance with hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, break area, and makeover stations.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using company technology and practices.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, as appropriate.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing guest service.
• Complete other operational tasks as directed.
