About The Position

Cadrex is seeking a Press Brake Operator I to set up and operate metal-bending machines (press brakes) in accordance with quality and quantity standards. The role involves inspecting work, identifying materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and supporting site efficiency and continuous improvement standards. The position is onsite and scheduled Monday through Thursday, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions.
• Knowledge of basic business math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake metal-bending machines according to quality and quantity standards.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or a designer.
• Perform quality inspections and checks according to quality documentation and control plans, and document results.
• Identify different types of material, including aluminum, 5000-series aluminum, steel, stainless steel, paint grip, galvanneal, and galvanized steel.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment, and follow prescribed safety procedures.
• Uphold site efficiency standards.
• Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement in site safety and quality standards and procedures.
• Meet the standards of the site attendance policy.
• Assist in other work areas as assigned.
