Catholic Preschool Teacher
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time teacher for their PK3/4 classroom. This is a classical and Catholic homeschool hybrid program located in Charlotte, NC, operating for 13-14 hours per week during the 2026-2027 academic year. The academy emphasizes a small adult-to-child ratio and provides training for all necessary skills. RCA is a national organization offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided for employees. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in RCA standards for instruction and classroom management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith.
Requirements
- Must be available to work 13-14 hours per week.
- Must be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm during the academic year.
- Must be available to attend one mandatory training day on August 3, 4, or 5, 2026 (TBD) from 8 am - 5 pm.
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Must complete a background check.
- Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
- Strong communication skills.

- A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- A love for babies and toddlers is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with babysitting, childcare, parenting, homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
- Experience in ministry in your Catholic parish.
- Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
- Experience teaching your own children.
- Experience teaching in a classical or private school.
