About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time assistant for their PK3/4 classroom. This is a classical and Catholic homeschool hybrid program located in Charlotte, NC. The position is for the 2026-2027 academic year, with approximately 13-14 hours per week. The academy emphasizes a small adult-to-child ratio and provides training for all necessary skills. A love for babies and toddlers is essential. Regina Caeli Academy is a national organization offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided. Specific vacation and holy days are outlined, with no additional vacation days granted (sick day accommodations are made).

Requirements

Must be available for 13-14 hours per week.
Must be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm during the academic year.
Must be available to attend one mandatory training day on August 3, 4, or 5, 2026 (TBD) from 8 am to 5 pm.
Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
Must complete a background check.
Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
Must have a love for babies and toddlers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with babysitting, childcare, parenting, homeschooling, or working with homeschool children.
Experience with ministry in a Catholic parish.
Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
Experience teaching your own children.
Experience teaching in a classical or private school.
