About The Position

Merryhill School is seeking a Preschool Substitute Teacher to support various classrooms and age groups. In this flexible role, you will step into different learning environments, follow established lesson plans, and help maintain continuity of instruction when teachers are absent. Your adaptability, professionalism, and classroom management skills will ensure students experience a productive, positive day of learning. You will promote positive social and emotional development in students, cover classroom duties and instructional tasks as needed, build supportive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff, and maintain an organized, structured, and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
• Often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
• Regularly hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
