About The Position

Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking caring, experienced educators to join their preschool team in Kahului. The role involves creating a warm, engaging, and safe environment for young learners, guiding development through play and routines, building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and contributing ideas as part of a team. Depending on experience, individuals may work as a Preschool Teacher, Infant/Toddler Caregiver, or support staff member. The organization emphasizes a respectful, collaborative, and supportive team culture, valuing the experience and perspective each educator brings.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • A love for working with children and willingness to learn
  • 1–2 years of experience working with children ages 2 and under in a licensed childcare or preschool setting (for Infant/Toddler Caregiver)
  • PATCH-qualified (or eligible), including: CDA (Child Development Associate), OR Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (for Preschool Teacher)
  • 6–12 months of experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting (for Preschool Teacher)
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)
