About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking a passionate Preschool Center Assistant Director with daycare or preschool experience. The role leads by example and helps create a trusting, inclusive environment for children, families, and employees. The Assistant Director supports center operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, curriculum implementation, family engagement, enrollment growth, and community marketing. The position requires knowledge of North Carolina DCDEE policies and regulations, five-star rating requirements, and the CACFP Food Program.

Requirements

Two or more years of center leadership or management experience.
State-specific Administrative or Director credential and compliance with other state-specific guidelines for the role.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
Knowledge of North Carolina DCDEE policies and regulations.
Knowledge of five-star rating requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and foster trust, rapport, and inclusivity with diverse groups of people.
Ensure the center’s physical environment follows health and safety procedures and complies with local and state licensing regulations.
Source, train, coach, and engage current and prospective employees to build and maintain a highly qualified staff.
Guide teachers in implementing the proprietary curriculum.
Drive family retention, conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
Conduct in-person and virtual tours for prospective families.
Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.
Understand and implement the CACFP Food Program.
