About The Position

The Prepared Produce Team Member supports daily operations in the Prepared Produce section, including cut fruit, packaged produce, and fresh-juiced items. The role delivers exceptional customer service, carries out daily production, and maintains clean, well-stocked, appealing displays. Team Members work with department leadership and colleagues to uphold freshness, food safety, and presentation standards while creating a positive shopping experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate about fresh, natural, organic, and local produce; reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment; and takes pride in preparing high-quality fresh food. This role requires teamwork, organization, clear communication, attention to food safety, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position also requires standing and walking for up to four hours without a break, bending and stooping, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, and pushing or pulling carts weighing up to 100 pounds unassisted.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label fresh-cut fruit, packaged produce, and juiced items.
• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness, quality, and visual appeal.
• Maintain proper signage and pricing, complying with COOL (Country of Origin Labeling) and Plum Market standards.
• Keep the workspace and backstock area clean and organized.
• Follow food safety, health, and sanitation protocols.
• Support department merchandising, promotional sets, and seasonal resets.
• Assist Guests with product questions and provide recommendations in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Communicate clearly with Team Members, Store Leadership, and retail Customers.
• Uphold Plum Market policies, procedures, and service expectations.
