PREP COOK (PART TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time Prep Cook at NH Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. The position prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The cook follows production schedules, recipes, and portion standards; documents production and waste; checks meal quality; maintains food safety and sanitation; and serves customers efficiently and courteously. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with days varying and rotating weekends. Previous prep cooking experience is required. The pay range is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous prep cooking experience required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Obtain daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare items listed on production sheets, following established quantities and recipes.
- Complete daily production worksheets and waste log sheets, and taste completed meals to ensure quality.
- Operate and clean equipment according to department procedures after each use.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy and follow HACCP guidelines.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Comply with applicable health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner.
- Complete orders from steam tables and the grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Resolve customer concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
