About The Position

Avvio Millbury is opening a new location in early fall and is hiring for its opening team. They are looking for a Prep Cook who takes pride in the foundation of a scratch kitchen, is detail-oriented, enjoys a productive prep shift, and wants to work for a company that invests in its employees. Training begins in September.

Requirements

A love of the craft – you find satisfaction in a well-prepped station and work done right.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and specs accurately.
The stamina and focus to stay productive and organized through a full prep shift.
A collaborative attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever the kitchen needs you.
Prior kitchen or prep experience is a plus, but not required.
Basic knife skills and comfort following recipes and prep lists with precision.
Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods (up to 25–50 lbs).
Flexibility to work days, some nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Break down, portion, and prep ingredients to spec so the line is set up for success every service.
Follow receipts and prep lists with precision – consistency is everything in a scratch kitchen.
Handle knife work, batch cooking, and mise en place with care and efficiency.
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift.
Communicate with the culinary team to prioritize tasks and keep the kitchen moving.
