About The Position

Midtown is seeking a Prep Cook to support its restaurant and food and beverage team. The role prepares and plates meal options while maintaining a safe and sanitary workspace. The team collaborates across the food and beverage experience and offers an opportunity to become familiar with other areas of the business, including fitness, racquet sports, and spa. The job may also involve periodic catering and member events. Duties may be adjusted or added as needed to support department operations. Midtown is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

Wash, chop, store, and handle ingredients.
Prepare raw ingredients for use in recipes.
Prepare sauces and garnishes efficiently and assist cooks with basic recipes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas in accordance with Department of Health sanitary guidelines.
Assist with periodic catering events.
Work collaboratively with the food and beverage team and help support member events.
Anticipate problems and take preventative measures for members.
